2 Weeks Out
Set the foundation
- Declutter room-by-room — donate, sell, or trash before you pay to move it.
- Order boxes and packing supplies (tape, markers, paper, wardrobe boxes).
- Book utility transfers for the move date (electric, gas, internet, water).
- Schedule address changes: USPS forwarding, bank, insurance, driver's license.
- Measure large furniture and doorways at the new place — flag anything tight.
- Confirm your Weekend Warrior crew size and arrival window.
1 Week Out
Pack the non-essentials
- Pack anything you won't use in the next 7 days.
- Label every box by room AND fragility (e.g. "KITCHEN — FRAGILE").
- Take photos of the back of your TV, stereo, and computer before unplugging.
- Set aside anything you're moving yourself (jewelry, meds, documents, firearms).
- Empty and clean out the fridge/freezer if it's coming with you.
- Reserve the elevator, parking spot, or moving lane at both addresses.
Day Before
Final prep
- Pack an essentials box: chargers, toiletries, meds, a change of clothes, snacks.
- Disassemble bed frames if you want (or leave it — we'll do it on the clock).
- Defrost the freezer if the fridge is being moved.
- Charge your phone and set aside cash if you plan to tip.
- Confirm the arrival window with our office.
- Plan where kids and pets will be during the load-out.
Morning Of
Set us up to succeed
- Clear a walking path from the front door to the street.
- Reserve the closest parking spot for the truck.
- Do a quick walkthrough with the lead mover to point out fragile items.
- Move firearms, valuables, and personal documents to a locked car or room the crew won't touch.
- Have the destination address and any gate/access codes ready.
